The Nonprofit Resource Development Council is a new entity with an important agenda: to bolster the resilience of the nonprofit organizations as they serve the Howard County community.
We believe that the strength of our nonprofit sector – which includes health and human services, arts organizations and environmental groups – is a critical dimension of community life. The county’s nonprofit sector has long been challenged to meet the needs of our community with limited resources. As the economy has weakened, this challenge has dramatically increased.

One objective of the Nonprofit Resource Development Council website is to provide powerful stories of local and national success, representing several sectors. The 2011 Social Impact Business Plan Competition is open to entrants from October 15 to December 10, 2010.
