The Center for Healthy Communities was created by The California Endowment. Through the Center, “the Endowment transcends the traditional role of philanthropy and becomes part of a dedicated community of changemakers”. The Center offers several unique services for tenants, including the Health ExChange Academy, their signature capacity-building program; and Center Scene Public Programs, a series of public programs organized by the Center that allow participants to better understand crucial health issues and to meet and network with others interested in action around better health. The Center also offers meeting space free of charge to qualified nonprofits.
