GroundWork group is a nonprofit member-based organization currently active in Ohio and California. The mission of GroundWork is to enhance the impact of nonprofit organizations by strengthening their information technology systems. GroundWork currently has over 200 full and associate members, including human service, arts and civic organizations and foundations.
GroundWork serves as a collective “Chief Information Officer” for its member organizations. Its services include:
- A technology platform that includes hardware, software, network infrastructure, email, security, back-ups, antivirus and business continuity consulting services.
- Web site management and network maintenance.
- Consulting services including a process called TAAP (Technology, Assessment, Advancement & evaluation Process) – which Groundwork describes as “a road map to identify where a nonprofit organization is on our Continuum of Technology Maturity and to enhance technical capability.”
- An extensive educational program for members including workshops, conferences and over 2,000 on-line courses.
