The Howard County Arts Council (www.hocoarts.org) was established to serve the citizens of Howard County by fostering the arts.  The Arts Council oversees the operations of the Howard County Center for the Arts, a multi-purpose arts facility in Ellicott City, where visitors can take a class, view an exhibit, or enjoy a performance.

The Howard County Center for the Arts is a tremendous community resource in the form of a 27,000-square-foot community arts facility that offers “two professional galleries, an intimate black box theatre, three classrooms, meeting and office spaces, a dance studio, and individual artists’ studios”. The Center for the Arts offers a wide variety of venues and opportunities for artists and visitors to participate in, view and enjoy artistic endeavors in the community.
